The Journey Begins....

I've decided to attempt another 365 "Challenge" this year while Ted is deployed. I say attempt because I've tried this challenge before and failed. Last time it was 365 days of self-portraits. Quite frankly, after two months I became bored at staring at myself. So, this time I'm going to do whatever I fancy. I'll take pictures of whatever floats my boat on that particular day. Depending on the time I have, I may have a little story of diddy to tell, or it may just be a picture and that's it. And, I promise, even though it's April 1st, this is no April Fool's joke. :)

But, I'll begin this journey with a little back story for those that are joining me and this blog yet don't really "know" me.

I am a wife, a mother, a woman. A daughter, a sister, a friend. I'm not perfect, although to my own demise I often strive for perfection and fail miserably. After all, perfection is unattainable - only Christ is perfect.

I would like to say the pictures over the next year will be fun, exciting, creative, and technically sound. However, I know me. Some will be taken with the phone if I've forgotten about it or just got too busy to pull the camera out. I also hope to use this year and experience to watch the growth of my children through the lens and hopefully the shrinking of myself.

So, with that little diddy, here is my first picture for the next year. I'm an allergy sufferer. I LOVE spring; it just doesn't love me back. So, in honor of spring and my allergies, tonight's picture is of a blooming trees. Oh so pretty and oh so full of pollen. *AH-CHOO!* A little side note for the photogs reading this - I pulled out my new 85 f/1.2L for this shot. I've only used it a handful of times and hope to use it more often with the 365 until I get comfortable enough with nailing focus and exposure before I begin to use it for business.
